Rescue

For the second time in 2 weeks we have had the mini drama of a walker with a sprained ankle. The first time the lady was near to the farmhouse and a kindly young man carried the lady into the kitchen where I made her a cup of tea whilst her friends walked back to Hollinsclough for the mini bus and took her off to hospital. Yesterday we had 2 ambulances, 5 mountain rescue vehicles and 2 search dogs! this time the walker had twisted her ankle some way from the farm, at the bottom of a steep hill. The paramedics and mountain rescue people didn't fancy driving down as it was wet and slippery so Bez drove down in our landrover and brought her up to one of the waiting ambulances. Let's hope these things don't come in threes!
