Frequently Asked Questions

What deposit do you require
To confirm a booking we will require a £250 deposit with in 2 weeks of your request. This is a non refundable deposit should you cancel your booking with us. We strongly recommend that you take out  wedding cancellation insurance.

Six months before your wedding day we will request 70% of the balance and one month before your wedding day we will request the remaining balance.

Can we have live music
Yes

Is electricity available
Yes electricity is available for use in your marquee at a cost of £20

Can we bring our own drinks
Yes you are welcome to arrange your own drinks/bar.

When will the marquee go up
The marquee will  be up throughout the Summer months so you will be able to come and decorate it at your convenience in the days leading up to your wedding day.

How long does the civil ceremony take
Approximately 30 minutes

Can we use confetti
Please only use dried flower petals.

Where can guests smoke
Smoking is permitted in the garden area where ashtrays will be available. We would request that guests don’t throw the cigarette ends onto the ground. Strictly no smoking is allowed inside the accommodation or marquee.

What time do we need to finish in the evening
Alcohol needs to be finished serving at 11.30pm and music by 12 midnight. Guests will need to leave the site by 12.30am when the marquee will be locked.

Is there parking
Yes we can park around 30 cars behind the house. We find that guests will often car share which is helpful and we also find that guests staying in Buxton will use the local taxi services.
